The below blog and video detail a 2.5-day tour around County Kerry (also known as The Kingdom) in the south-west corner of Ireland, focusing on the spectacular Dingle and Iveragh peninsulas, with their rugged Atlantic coastlines and mountainous interiors.
Unlike most of my previous trips, this one was undertaken with three friends (and a fourth who would join us for the second day on the road). It was actually these friends who had come up with the idea and the route, which I was very thankful for as all I had to do was show up with my bike and pedal!
In the end, we enjoyed a spectacular 297-kilometre journey with 3,700 metres of climbing over 2.5 days through one of Ireland’s most scenic counties.
